Project profile
The Leakey Centennial Book began as a designer's "dream project", but had been set aside after her initial research seemed to indicate that the project would be well out of the organization's budget.

Little Jackie Paper stepped in and asked for the opportunity to put together a proposal to manage the project and produce the book using the original budget. This concertina-format book project came to life using a blend of high-end printing, bookbinding, custom foil stamping and intricate hand assembly.

Client Goals
Maintain all original specifications for materials and format, and produce within Leakey Foundation's budget.

Print locally so designer could attend press checks

Results
Little Jackie Paper was able to deliver this commemmorative piece for just over 50% of the original prices the designer had received, without changing one manufacturing specification.

The interior, a 68 inch long fanfold, is actually made of 2 lengths of press sheet, diecut and scored with reversing scores to insure exact alignment, hand folded and glued to one another and each cover.

This special piece was given at the Leakey Foundations' Centennial Banquet to honorees and top donors as a thank you for ongoing support of the organization. The overwhelmingly positive response to the book justified the investment per piece in this unique project.
