Project profile
My First Year is a privately published book, designed to chronicle a baby's first year in both English and Japanese. The author, an editor from Japan, decided to create this special keepsake journal after being unable to find something special in the current marketplace. Having no experience in book production, she was referred to Little Jackie Paper by the book's designer, a former client, to manage the manufacturing portion of the project.

Client Goals
Create a unique, heirloom-quality journal using specialty materials and clean, modern book design.

Manage creation of the book from prototype through to fulfillment using a single point of contact.

Results
Successfully created a specialty cloth cover volume, now available for sale in Japanese bookstores in the US, and direct from the author's fulfillment house.

Use of poppy-colored linen, gold foil spine stamp, blind cover emboss, 80% height dustjacket, and 2 PMS inks on cream colored stock all work to create a very special remembrance of baby's first year.
